Adorable storefront with delectable treats! I am going to Buenos Aires this spring and had a hankering for some empanadas. I picked up 1 beef and 1 chicken empanada as well as a coconut pastry. They had samples of the brownie and raspberry pastries at the counter as well as baked goods for Valentine's Day. I love to support local businesses where the owners have a passion for what they do.
You don't usually see empanadas places in this area so I stopped in and was pleasantly surprised. Some of the best empanadas and desserts I have tasted to this day. I tried a variety of the empanadas: chicken, chicken & cheese, corn, veggie, etc - all were incredible. Highly recommend anyone to check this cute place out.
Phenomenal offering of sweet and savory empanadas. I cannot stop talking about Belen De La Cruz. Enjoyed a spinach, a beef and chicken cheese empanada. When they were gone...I wished I had gotten more. Friendly service, even offered samples of their desserts to taste. Thank you BDLC for such a great experience. Even had a check-in offer that I enjoyed later at home.
Forever going here for empanadas!! I seriously could eat empanadas every day of my life, especially ones made with love from Belen De La Cruz! These are truly the best empanadas I have ever put in my belly, and I know this will become a staple spot (probably weekly) for me to visit - even with the 25 min drive from home. The shop/bakery is so beautiful, and their pastries all look incredible too! They offer an amazing deal for 3 empanadas, a drink, and a pastry for $14! I went with one butternut squash, one chicken and cheese, and one caprese empanada. I truly can't pick a favorite because they were all equally yummy, but if I had to choose it would probably be the butternut squash! Especially for this time of year. I chose the raspberry square made with shortbread, almonds, and raspberry jam, and it also blew me away. I even got a little sample of the coconut square which was also delectable! They also offer charcuterie boards and custom cakes, so definitely keeping that in mind for the future. I cannot wait to go back ASAP and try out some more empanadas and pastries!
Great food. Real empenadas. Definitely worth the money. The baked pastries are excellent as well.
